Fed-U-Cation: Interfaith Allyship in Contentious Times

MAY

8

Thursday, May 8th
6 p.m. to 8 p.m.
In-Person Event at the Tri-Faith Center

Ready for our next Fed-U-Cation session? Our May session will be presented by scholar, author, and co-president of the Shalom Hartman Institute, Dr. Yehuda Kurtzer, in conjunction with the Jewish Federation of Omaha’s 2025 Tapestry programming celebrating Jewish learning.

Religion is both a private exercise and a public activity in America, and the joy of living alongside people of other faiths creates demands on us to find ways to support and stand with one another – even as we value our differences, and even when we don’t fully agree. This obligation is tested in contentious times – during a divisive war that involves faith communities, and during a partisan American moment – and these are times for us to ask: what are the core commitments that make interfaith allyship and activism possible? And how might we sustain the momentum of this work even as our battle lines are drawn?

While the event is free and open to the public, the suggested donation for this dinner is $20 per person. Please register before May 5th so we have an accurate headcount for dinner.

We are excited to continue our collaboration with House of Bah Foundation. As part of their Eat N’ Talk Africa program, House of Bah will be providing culturally affirming cuisines for our Fed-U-cation program. If you have any food allergies or dietary restrictions, please let the Tri-Faith staff know as soon as possible so we can alert Chef Jamil.
