Honoring past, present, and future, Beacon of Hope will celebrate the opening of the Tri-Faith Center as a safe haven for dialogue, prayer, and friendship-building on Saturday, October 17. This virtual grand opening event will feature an original performance, One More Chair, by Beaufield Berry-Fisher and Tessa V. Wedberg, a pandemic-era play honoring and commemorating Tri-Faith Initiative completing our mission to co-locate.
One More Chair is a comedy with heart and history exploring the depths and differences of our human village. The play will ignite your senses and invite you to a party where strangers gather and form unexpected relationships. They bond by discussing their past and present, while writing the future with every excited proclamation, botched joke, song, prayer, and wind chime they share. Through traditions and commitments, conversations, and conflicts they discover what it means to be a neighbor and to go home to ourselves and each other.
Join Tri-Faith Executive Director Wendy Goldberg as she invites Beau, Tessa, and Director Denise Chapman into an Open Conversation about the inspiration for this performance and a window into their creative process as we get ready for Beacon of Hope!
Tri-Faith Initiative events are recorded and archived on our YouTube Channel.
