“Bridging Divides” Documentary Screening

Tri-Faith Initiative is one of six groups from around the world to be featured in director, producer and best-selling poet Susan Polis Schutz’s latest documentary produced by IronZeal Films, Bridging Divides: Sharing Heartbeats.

The film explores how the spotlighted groups — Fandango Fronterizo (Mexico/U.S.); PeacePlayers (Northern Ireland); The Jerusalem Youth Chorus; Sisterhood of Salaam Shalom; Chicago Children’s Choir; and Tri-Faith Initiative — work across differences to help people find common ground in their humanity, a greater understanding and respect for each other, and are enriched by their diversity of experiences.

The documentary will premiere on Nebraska Public Media on Monday, April 15 at 5 p.m. and begin streaming April 1 on PBS.org and the PBS App. Tri-Faith Initiative will be hosting a screening event on Thursday, April 11 from 7 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. at the Tri-Faith Center. After the documentary is shown, there will be interfaith dialogue centered around the themes explored in the film. Light movie snacks will also be provided.
